Job Summary
Snowmaker I operates snowmaking equipment to produce machine-made snow and help build and maintain skiable terrain throughout the season. This weather-dependent role requires safety consciousness, adaptability to rapidly changing conditions, and responsiveness to mountain needs. Responsibilities include operating snow guns and related gear, adjusting air and water flow, monitoring wet-bulb temperatures, communicating issues to supervisors, recording time entries, and complying with safety programs. The position demands outdoor, night-time work in mountainous terrain with extreme cold and variable conditions, plus the physical stamina to handle lifting up to 80 lbs and long shifts while maintaining safety and quality standards. Preferred qualifications include prior outdoor or mountain operations experience, ability to ski or snowboard, experience with utility vehicles, basic maintenance skills, and CPR/First Aid/WFR certification.
Required Qualifications
- ● Must be at least 18 years of age
- ● Valid driver's license with a clean driving record if driving vehicles on the road
- ● High school diploma or equivalent
- ● Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays); longer or shorter shifts may
- be required.
- ● Ability to work in extreme and unpredictable weather conditions for extended periods.
- ● Physical strength and stamina to lift, pull, and move up to 80 lbs of equipment.
- ● Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- ● Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
