Job Summary
Senior Manager of Communications at Snowbird leads external storytelling and media relations for the resort, serving as a key voice for the brand. Responsibilities include developing and executing the Snowbird Communications Strategy, securing local to international media coverage, managing press releases and media pitches, coordinating media/film shoots and FAM trips, acting as spokesperson on crisis and sensitive issues, and overseeing the communications budget. The role requires strong AP Style writing, leadership across a multi-functional team, proven media relationships, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced mountain environment. In-person at Snowbird with occasional work-from-home after an introductory period; must be able to work weekends and holidays and possess a valid driver’s license. Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in PR/communications are required, with ski/travel industry experience preferred, and supervisory experience of at least 3 years.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required
- 7+ years’ experience in public relations, strategic communications, journalism or related field
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced/expert level
