Job Summary
As a Baker at Snowbird Resort, you will work under the direction of the Pastry Chef to provide quality baked goods across the resort, supporting pastry production, maintaining sanitation standards, and collaborating with kitchen staff. Key duties include reporting on time in proper uniform, assisting the Pastry Chef, handling multiple tasks, and participating in ongoing training and incentive programs. You’ll need to interact pleasantly with guests and colleagues, demonstrate basic culinary knowledge, and adapt to varied shifts, including early mornings and weekends. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), 1-2 years of relevant experience, a Food Handler Permit, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and strong knife and kitchen technique skills. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety practices, learning recipes, and supporting the Pastry Chef to ensure high-quality baked goods across Snowbird’s operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence
- Food Handler Permit
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Basic kitchen techniques and knife skills
- Ability to multitask and learn recipes
- Read, write, and arithmetic competency
- Ability to interact with guests and other employees
- Ability to work with Chef and Sous Chef
- Experience in kitchen operations and sanitation
