Job Summary
Plan and facilitate engaging sneaker design sessions for elementary, middle, and high school students, introducing footwear design, branding, and product creation through hands-on projects. Adapt activities based on student experience levels, available materials, and program objectives while supporting students in developing original concepts and presentation boards. Maintain a safe, respectful learning environment and communicate assignment needs with school staff as appropriate. Complete session completion forms and follow site safety and student-protection procedures. Compensation is $50+ per instructional service hour, with assignments typically lasting 10 weeks and scheduled 1–4 hours weekly after school. Concorde Education provides curriculum guidance and resources, allowing contractors to use professional judgment within the assignment scope.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 college credits, where required by the applicable assignment or site
- Experience in sneaker design, footwear, fashion design, graphic design, product design, illustration, visual arts, merchandising, marketing, or related creative disciplines
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school-age students
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills
- Ability to inspire creativity while guiding students through structured design activities
