Job Summary
Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided Snapology activities and teach STEM concepts to children ages 2-14, promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while representing Snapology to parents and children. Responsibilities include instructing and monitoring students, managing classroom behavior, preparing for programs via curriculum and training, handling inquiries from parents, and encouraging enrollment in future Snapology programs. Programs include weekday after-school or evening classes, weekend workshops/birthday parties, summer camps, and special events; typical hours range from 6-30 per week. Must maintain current Criminal and Child Clearances and have 2+ years of experience with children; education degree or teaching experience recommended. Strong communication, reliability, and ability to collaborate with the team are required.
Required Qualifications
- Criminal and Child Clearances must be current
- 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
