SNAP Facilitator - Part Time

Job Summary

Administer the 13-week SNAP curriculum to parent or child groups, conducting thorough intakes, assessments, and mock role-plays during the 5-day core training. Set up and lead pre-briefing sessions, facilitate weekly group cycles, and conduct post-session debriefs while meeting families at home or community locations. Maintain continuity of contact with clients, complete required documentation, and assist with gathering paperwork and evaluations. Transport clients in a personal vehicle to offsite locations as needed. Join at least two group cycles and provide input on program improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • 10+ years' experience engaging, teaching, and training in the child welfare field
  • Experience working with at-risk children and families
  • Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed
  • Ability to bend, lift, and carry 30 pounds
  • Commitment to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery
  • Active participation in agency-required training
  • Understanding that trauma-informed environments require cultural sensitivity and an emphasis on a safe and respectful environment for all
  • Authorized to access protected health information

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in CINS/FINS, Non-Residential, and Residential/Shelter settings
