Job Summary
Set up and operate SMT equipment for PCB assembly, ensuring accurate component placement and high-quality soldering connections. Read schematics, IPC 610 standards, and technical drawings to facilitate proper assembly, while using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters to assist in repairs. Conduct electrical wiring and troubleshooting on assembled PCBs, inspect completed assemblies for defects, and maintain workstation cleanliness per safety protocols. Document production activities and report equipment malfunctions promptly. Collaborate with engineering teams on schematic reviews and mechanical integration tasks. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience working with PCB assembly, surface mount technology, soldering, and electrical wiring
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, IPC 610 standards, and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and machining equipment safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of electrical components, schematics, and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
