Job Summary
Operate pick-and-place units, stencil printers, reflow ovens, AOI, and X-Ray equipment to assemble flexible printed circuits and rigid-flex assemblies per controlled work instructions. Set up feeders and materials by staging components to the BOM, verifying polarity, and maintaining traceability. Manage solder paste quality by inspecting prints for defects like bridging or tombstoning and correcting out-of-control conditions. Troubleshoot line issues by clearing alarms, documenting downtime, and escalating to Engineering as needed. Perform stencil cleaning and basic upkeep using approved chemicals. Support afternoon shift operations from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am with a $0.75 per hour shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and follow travelers, work instructions, basic assembly drawings, and BOMs
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to recognize common SMT defects; willingness to stop work and escalate abnormalities
- Manual dexterity and careful handling skills for thin and delicate flexible circuits, pallets, and support tooling required
- Must be a team player
- Basic ability to enter data and retrieve instructions and tracking tools required
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs without assistance
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the business language (English)
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma desired
- Experience with SMT line operating including stencil printers and pick-and-place equipment within a manufacturing environment desired
- Basic understanding of SMT process flow including print/place/reflow/inspect desired
