SMT Manager/Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Oversee suspense accounts and financial data management, leading reconciliation quality, timeliness, and root-cause/problem-solving efforts. Drive advanced analytics, risk management, and process optimization using Cadency and related tools. Lead process standardization, automation initiatives, and governance across Finance, Insurance Operations, and global partners. Develop and coach team members, establish operational standards, and manage knowledge transfer with Shared Service Centers. Manage critical risk cases, escalate to executives when needed, and ensure monthly/quarterly sign-offs and reporting quality. Collaborate with Global COE and In-Market Operations to propose new rules, measure impact, and implement continuous improvements. Demonstrate strong communication with overseas teams, oversee transitions, and support audit responses while maintaining a robust control environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in finance/accounting or related fields
- Practical knowledge of account reconciliations and balance sheet management
- Data analysis, problem solving, and root cause analysis experience
- Experience leading a team or acting as a people leader
- Strong communication skills with international teams
- Experience driving business process improvement, standardization, and automation
- Experience with financial controls and governance
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliverables
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration (insurance operations, finance, global partners)
- KSA or PMP is a plus
- Japanese and English communication ability preferred
