Job Summary
Oversee and manage SMSF engagements from commencement through to completion, preparing and reviewing financial statements, annual returns, and compliance documentation. Process transactions within BGL Simple Fund 360 while liaising with clients, advisors, and external auditors to ensure accurate, efficient delivery within agreed deadlines. Mentor junior team members and maintain high technical compliance standards. This Senior Accountant role offers leadership within the firm's SMSF division with opportunities to broaden exposure through Business Services work. Based in Sydney CBD, Accru Felsers is a globally focused chartered accounting firm established in 1941, recognized for outstanding client service.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification (or be near completion)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in SMSF accounting within a public practice environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian superannuation legislation and compliance requirements
- Sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and auditing requirements for SMSFs
- Experience preparing SMSF financial statements, tax returns and compliance reporting
- High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- A proactive and professional approach with a genuine commitment to client service
