Job Summary
Smoothie King Assistant Manager role with SK Midwest involves supporting the General Manager in leading store operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience and uphold brand standards. Responsibilities include leading and developing the team, motivating staff to meet daily goals, ensuring high-quality products and food safety, communicating sales performance and leveraging KPIs, assisting with community marketing to raise brand awareness, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed store, resolving guest and team issues, implementing company programs, managing cash handling, and driving profitability while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The position requires 40 hours per week (openings, closings, some weekends/holidays), 18+ years old, US work authorization, and successful completion of a background check. Located in Poughkeepsie, NY, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Guest service experience in a restaurant or retail environment — 2 years
- Supervisory or leadership experience — 1 year
- Flexible work schedule, 40 hours/week; opening, closing, some weekends and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to undergo a background check
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting to 50 pounds and stand for 8 or more hours
- Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Ability to tolerate exposure to a variety of products (berries, bananas, nuts, dairy, proteins, etc.)
- Ability to be mobile in a walk-in refrigerator or freezer with temps ranging from 40° to -10°
- Take initiative and possess problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate professionalism with excellent communication skills
