Job Summary
The Smoke Shift Supervisor at Shooting Star Casino is responsible for supervising team members during shifts, ensuring food quality, and managing inventory levels. Key duties include scheduling, training staff, controlling labor costs, and responding to guest concerns while maintaining high satisfaction. The role requires knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, proficiency with Point of Sale systems, and the ability to manage restaurant equipment effectively. An Associate’s degree or equivalent, along with at least one year of related experience, is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training
- Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal State Compact for Gaming
- Knowledge of food safety code
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (P.O.S) system
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Skilled in operation of equipment in restaurant settings
- Skill in money handling
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to assist guest with special needs during their dining experience
