Job Summary
Evaluate existing Smartsheet solutions and identify opportunities for improvement. Enhance sheets, dashboards, reports, forms, formulas, and automated workflows. Design and support integrations between Smartsheet, SAP, and other SaaS applications using APIs, connectors, or middleware. Troubleshoot data, workflow, reporting, and integration issues. Partner with business users and technical teams to translate needs into scalable solutions. Document enhancements and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams. This role is not primarily an administrator function; the ideal candidate will work directly in Smartsheet to design, build, test, and implement practical solutions for large IT projects supporting an electric utility client.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 4+ years of experience working as an architect
- Experience in designing, enhancing and supporting Smartsheet
- Hands-on experience building and enhancing Smartsheet solutions
- Experience with Smartsheet dashboards, reports, workflows, formulas, and automation
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms using APIs, connectors, middleware, or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working directly in Smartsheet to design, build, test, and implement practical solutions
- Must be able to work onsite at the client's office three days per week
- Candidates local to Newark, NJ are preferred
- Candidates located elsewhere on the East Coast will also be considered, provided they are able to travel to New Jersey
Desired Qualifications
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience with Smartsheet premium applications such as Control Center, Data Shuttle, DataMesh, Dynamic View, or Bridge
- Prior experience working within utilities or other highly regulated industries
