Job Summary

Smart Manufacturing Transformation Manager responsible for driving enterprise-wide digital transformation across manufacturing, reporting to the VP of Operations as part of the Smart Manufacturing & Operations Excellence Digital Transformation team. The role is located on-site in Fargo, ND. You will define and drive the transformation roadmap, align digital, data, automation, and AI initiatives with business and operational priorities, and partner with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and business leaders to identify and deliver high-impact opportunities that improve throughput, right-first-time quality, and scalability. You will prioritize and execute initiatives based on value, risk, and dependencies, lead change management to adopt new processes and systems, and establish a structured execution model with roadmap planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field with 9 years experience OR Master’s degree in field with 7+ years experience OR Doctorial degree in field with 4+ years experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, or digital transformation roles, including hands-on experience delivering cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Experience with digital manufacturing technologies such as MES, automation systems, or manufacturing data platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments, defining plans, priorities, and execution frameworks (such as Agile Scrum)
  • Capability to identify future industry trends and translate to applicable business actions with strong stakeholder management experience across business, operations, and IT functions
  • Experience with AI, advanced analytics, or data-driven use cases in manufacturing, quality or R&D (preferred)
  • Experience in regulated CDMO, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments (preferred)
  • Experience with large-scale transformation programs or Industry 4.0 initiatives (preferred)
