Job Summary
ADT seeks a Smart Home Consultant Team Manager to lead a 10-15 person Tech Engineer team in a hybrid sales & technical workforce. Key duties include conducting in-home, consultative walkthroughs to identify vulnerabilities and recommend ADT’s Security & Smart Home solutions, delivering onboarding and installation experiences with device setup, customer education, and tailored smart home automations, and driving growth by self-sourcing customer sales and install appointments. The role is hands-on in motivating, coaching, and developing the team to achieve sales and operational KPIs, with responsibilities in recruiting, planning, and maintaining high-quality service delivery. Local Shelton, CT-based leadership role with generous incentive plans and opportunities to grow within ADT. Salary base is $53,667 with potential earnings up to $125,000 plus commissions; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, disability, life insurance, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of people leadership experience
- experience managing customer-facing team members in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment
- associate degree or equivalent related experience
- excellent interpersonal & communications skills with consultative selling experience
- ability to train, coach, and develop Tech Engineers to meet performance metrics
- budget awareness and ability to drive targets
