Job Summary
Perform all service and maintenance of small gas, diesel, and electric powered hand tools while adhering to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies. Overhaul small gas and diesel engines, keep records of hour meter readings, and complete scheduled servicing. Report visual inspection problems, notify supervisors of inoperable equipment, and maintain cleanliness and parts inventory. Train on new tool use and maintenance. Work outdoors in all environments with occasional travel up to two hours, meeting physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills able to learn and use different software's
- Ability to use mechanics hand and power tools
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Physical
Desired Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in small tools mechanics or work experience
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
