Small Tools Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform all service and maintenance of small gas, diesel, and electric powered hand tools while adhering to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies. Overhaul small engines, keep records of hour meter readings, and maintain cleanliness of the work site. Report visual inspection problems, notify supervisors of inoperable equipment, and train on new tools. Keep a check and balance on parts and tools. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills able to learn and use different software's
- Ability to use mechanics hand and power tools
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in small tools mechanics or work experience
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Required to work outdoors in all environments at times
- Hours regularly exceed 40/week and 8/day overtime when needed
