Job Summary
Construction Worker for the Small Projects Group focusing on commercial remodeling. Responsibilities include preparing sites, performing general carpentry and finishes (e.g., hanging sheetrock), operating hand and power tools (forklift, skid loader), loading/unloading supplies, maintaining tools, site cleanup, and conducting safety walkthroughs. Must follow health and safety regulations, assist with inventory, participate in work planning and continuous improvement, and adhere to company safety policies. Travel to job sites throughout central Iowa with some overnight travel; outdoor work in varying conditions and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record to qualify for Story's approved drivers list.
- General carpentry and finishes experience.
- Minimum Tool Requirement: 16oz or larger hammer, crescent adjustable wrench, screwdriver (6-1 type), tape measure, speed square, retractable utility knife, chalk box, lineman or rebar pliers.
