Job Summary
Electrical Estimator for service and small projects to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial/industrial/residential projects. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings/specs for material takeoffs and labor estimates; preparing detailed proposals, scopes of work, and bid packages; obtaining and evaluating pricing from vendors/subcontractors; coordinating material procurement and delivery; conducting site visits and pre-bid meetings; supporting project managers during handoff and startup; and tracking bid activity and estimating metrics to improve performance and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or residential construction
- Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and basic electrical calculations
- Proficiency with estimating software such as McCormick, Accubid, WinEst, ServiceTitan, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers, contractors, and vendors
- Field experience is a plus
- ASPE Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) and/or Nevada C-2 License preferred, but not required
