Job Summary
Prep molds for infusion by buffing and laying pre-cut fiberglass, securing materials, and cutting to fit for proper distribution. Ensure molds are gel coated and bubble-free before moving parts to production. Inspect all work to confirm quality standards and eliminate defects. Use small hand tools like grinders, scrapers, and razor knives while maintaining a clean, orderly workspace. Follow supervisor instructions and comply with OSHA safety procedures. Work in non-climate-controlled environments, standing or bending for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. This role supports Nautique Boat Company's global craftsmanship in building ski and wake boats.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to drive a forklift
- Must be able to inspect and identify defects or damage to molds
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
- Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats
- Must be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc)
- Must be able to work effectively as an individual or with a team
- Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must be able to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
- Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures
- Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as needed
- The ability to see details at close range
