Job Summary
Coordinate, set up and maintain small bindery machines and equipment, including the Mailer, Dot Wac, Polybag, Drills, Shanklin, Shrink Wrap Machine, Folders, Spiral Binding, and related bindery operations to meet customer quality specifications. Demonstrate knowledge of bindery specifications, perform make-readies, comply with safety procedures, supervise daily schedules with supervisors, read and understand job tickets and related documentation, ensure customer quality requirements are met, monitor performance (speed, waste, efficiency), operate tools and equipment (hand trucks, gauges, tape measures), and participate in routine maintenance and troubleshooting. 12-hour night shifts with overtime potential, comprehensive benefits, paid training and cross-training across electrical/mechanical systems, and opportunities for advancement. Safely perform roles within a collaborative maintenance team, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and meeting production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2-year bindery experience
- Basic small packaging knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Ability to follow instructions
- Must be dependable and work well with others
- Must be able to troubleshoot machine malfunctions
- Must be flexible and open to change
- Must be self-starter to complete projects/work orders
- 12-hour shifts
