Small Machine Operator

Coordinate, set up and maintain small bindery machines and equipment. Machine operation includes the coordination and the Mailer, Dot Wac, use of the Polybag, Drills, Shanklin, Shrink Wrap Machine and Folders, Spiral Binding in the Bindery Department which are used to complete Bindery Operations and fulfill customer orders to quality specifications. Essential duties include reading job tickets and specifications, performing make readies on listed equipment, following safety procedures, lifting and bending techniques, demonstrating leadership and interpersonal skills, communicating with supervisors to facilitate daily schedules, understanding and meeting customer quality requirements, achieving goals on make readies, speeds, waste and efficiencies, operating tools and equipment, moving with a power industrial hand truck, monitoring for malfunctions and determining maintenance needs, performing routine equipment maintenance, and performing other duties as assigned. Basic qualifications emphasize dependability, troubleshooting, teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime on 12-hour shifts. Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of bindery experience, and basic small packaging knowledge. Sheridan/CJK Group is an equal opportunity employer.
