Job Summary
Manage daily operations in small format stores by leading a team of hourly members through cashiering, stocking, and price accuracy checks. Plan weekly workloads to meet sales goals, execute merchandising displays, and ensure inventory is stocked, available, and accurately priced. Deliver guest experience commitments by coaching staff on service standards, resolving guest issues, and handling back-up cashier or drive-up duties. Monitor financial and team metrics to identify improvement opportunities while maintaining safety, security, and compliance protocols. Lead team onboarding, evaluate candidates, and close skill gaps through training. Work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays while managing physical demands of lifting merchandise up to 44 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
