Small Engine Technician (Mechanic)

Job Summary
Diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models to determine root cause and corrective action. Perform maintenance and repair of complex tools on a variety of rental and customer equipment while using a high degree of independent judgment. Create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and maintain electronic documentation of work performed daily. Assist in the training of lower-level technicians and handle pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts. Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably and practice safe job practices. This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
- Must pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements
