Job Summary
Small Engine Mechanic responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial landscape vehicles and equipment, including routine maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair; communicate shop needs to management; adhere to company safety guidelines; requires knowledge of mowing and landscape equipment, small/ two-cycle engine repair, and basic Microsoft Office use; must have own tools and a valid driver license; Spanish communication preferred; 1–3 years of equipment maintenance/repair experience; physical ability to perform duties in varied outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years equipment maintenance and repair experience
- Valid driver license issued by the state where employed, with a record in good standing
- Knowledge of mowing and landscape equipment
- Knowledge of small engine and two cycle engine repair
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Has own tools
- Basic Mathematical Skills
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
