Job Summary
Diagnose, inspect, repair, and recondition John Deere small engine and compact tractor equipment, including lawn mowers, snow blowers, and Gators/UTVs, following manufacturer specifications and True North Equipment standards. Perform scheduled maintenance, use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and complete disassembly/reassembly with proper documentation. Communicate repair recommendations to service advisors and customers, collaborate with Service, Parts, and Sales teams to maximize uptime and satisfaction, and pursue ongoing training through TNE-sponsored and manufacturer programs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, technical training in small engine repair or related field preferred, valid driver’s license, and ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and effective communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in small engine repair, diesel technology, or related field preferred
- Experience diagnosing and repairing outdoor power equipment, compact tractors, or related equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team
