Job Summary
Conduct market research and assess new technology integration for USMC small craft programs. Coordinate, execute, and draft summary reports for testing, including four reports annually. Perform physical configuration audits and investigate equipment malfunctions, drafting four related reports per year. Draft and update drawings, review safety assessments, and edit engineering change proposals. Manage the MCSC boat locker and support fielding of initial issue equipment to operational forces. Maintain technical manuals and provide recommendations for test plans and supportability demonstrations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance which requires US Citizenship
- Mercury Verado Engine certified in all echelons of maintenance and diagnostics
- Evinrude 55HP Multi-Fuel Engine certified in all echelons of maintenance and diagnostics
- Combat Rubber Reconnaissance Craft repair certified
- Shall be formally trained and qualified as a USMC Small Craft Mechanic (AMOS 1342) or equivalent
- Water Safety Craft certified as Operator/Maintainer
- Must possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A
