Job Summary
Conduct prompt, thorough investigations of commercial property claims by obtaining facts to determine coverage, origin, and loss extent. Perform on-site appraisals to assess causation, damages, and exposure while managing consultants and independent adjusters to ensure reasonable costs. Establish accurate loss cost estimates and reserves, then negotiate settlements of varying complexity to achieve fair, equitable outcomes within policy terms. Maintain clear communication with insureds, document electronic files accurately, and participate in quality assurance reviews. Will be called upon for catastrophe duty requiring potential travel for weeks.
