Job Summary
Prospect for new small business clients and deepen existing relationships to drive year-over-year revenue growth, loan production, and deposits. Conduct discovery conversations to understand client business goals, financial needs, and credit profiles, then design and structure financial solutions across loans, deposits, and cash management products. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, monitor portfolio performance and credit quality, and apply sound underwriting judgment to identify risk indicators. Partner with internal teams to support timely reporting and deliver integrated solutions while building community visibility through local engagement. Maintain NMLS registration and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level consultative selling, financial analysis, and relationship management skills
- Advanced business acumen, underwriting expertise, and product knowledge
- Strong understanding of banking operations, sales, new business development, customer service and relations, and community relations
- Professionalism and strong working knowledge of applicable lending policies, credit structures, products, services, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Three to four years of experience in relationship banking
- National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Ongoing compliance with all legal and regulatory registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record
- Compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies, and procedures
- Participation in required corporate and business line training in these areas
- Understanding of internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
- Ability to comply with FINRA, NMLS registration, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, the NFA, the FCPA, the Bank Secrecy Act, the SAFE Act, and/or federal guidelines applicable to an agreement
