Job Summary
Identify and communicate Small Business Enterprise (SBE) requirements within contract documents to ensure the Operations team is informed of applicable state and federal regulations. Perform monthly audits of SBE reporting and supporting documentation prior to submission for review and approval. Analyze utilization data to identify trends, gaps, and compliance deficiencies, then support corrective actions. Coordinate with project management teams to establish reporting schedules, compile submissions for accuracy, and review Commercially Useful Function (CUF) evaluations before submittal to the Owner. Represent the company at monthly meetings with Owners and prepare compliance reports for internal stakeholders. Assist in developing SBE guidance for project management teams and address substitution requests while networking with potential SBE firms at regional industry events. Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years in construction or supplier inclusion programs; expert knowledge of federal and state SBE regulations required. Salary range $95,000–$105,000/year.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in the construction industry, supplier inclusion programs, or SBE programs
- Expert knowledge of federal and state SBE programs, regulations, and requirements
- Ability to provide training and guidance on SBE programs, reporting, and compliance
- Experience with compliance tracking systems (e.g., B2Gnow or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to conduct compliance audits, identify findings, and support resolution of deficiencies
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across project teams, Owners, and external partners
- Ability to travel throughout the Southern California region to support project teams and participate in industry and outreach events
