Job Summary

Build and lead a specialized Small Business Development team focused on acquiring new clients and generating profitable growth across Atlanta and Dallas markets. Develop and execute market-specific strategies to increase client acquisition, market penetration, and wallet share while establishing disciplined prospecting, calling, and referral generation routines. Serve as the primary owner of assigned geographic markets, creating strong partnerships with Regional Presidents, Market Presidents, and product executives to ensure a coordinated "One Truist" approach to identifying, acquiring, and deepening relationships with new business clients. Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing sales force capable of achieving aggressive growth objectives, driving balanced performance across deposits, lending, treasury management, and wealth referrals. Own delivery of client acquisition goals, deposit growth, loan growth, and revenue targets while promoting a strong risk culture and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 15+ years of Business Banking, Small Business, Commercial Banking, or Financial Services experience
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing sales organizations
  • Proven track record driving client acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and influencing across matrixed organizations
  • Strong understanding of business lending, deposits, treasury management, and relationship banking
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to influence senior leaders across multiple business segments
  • Experience developing and executing strategic growth plans
  • English (Required)
  • 1st shift (United States of America)
  • FINRA licenses or ability to obtain if required for specific business responsibilities

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced business degree
  • Formal credit training and commercial lending experience
  • Deep knowledge of Small Business and Commercial Banking client segments
  • Experience leading large-scale sales transformation or market expansion initiatives
