Job Summary
Manage underwriting strategies for the Small Business Credit Card portfolio by analyzing historical data to identify risk mitigation and growth opportunities. Develop segmentation and decision tree tools using Python, SAS, or SQL to optimize financial impact and forecast strategy performance. Query large datasets to monitor portfolio trends, validate decisioning system accuracy, and communicate financial results to senior leaders. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Data Warehouse teams to improve data sources and automate reporting via Power BI. Maintain a hybrid schedule with 3+ in-office days and a Bachelor's degree required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of related experience
- In-depth understanding of the Risk Management function in credit card risk management with a focus on line management
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze models, tools, trends, and patterns
- Expertise with any of these tool - Python, SAS, SAS EG or SQL plus to pull large amounts of data
- Expertise with Microsoft suites and productivity tools, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong process facilitation, project management, analytical, and presentation skills
- Hybrid/flexible schedule (in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with emphasis in computer science, business, analytics, statistics, data science or equivalent work experience
- Candidates with two plus years of relevant experience in credit card risk management functions
- Expertise with Power BI
- Experience working with small business credit card portfolio
