Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide array of weapons, including small arms, field artillery, and large ballistic missiles, while maintaining Level 1, 2, and 3 weaponsmithing standards. Conduct daily diagnostic imaging coverage and ensure all equipment operates properly throughout the deployment cycle. Complete 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training to master electronic and mechanical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an interest in joining the Army
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien
- 17 to 34 years old
- Healthy and in good physical condition
- In good moral standing with no felony-level offenses
- Must be able to meet height/weight standards
- No major medical procedures that would prohibit you from service
- No tattoos on the hands, neck, or face
- Pass (ASVAB)
- 10 weeks of Basic Training
- 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
- 93 ASVAB Score: General Maintenance (GM)
- 88: General Maintenance (GM) and 85: General Technical (GT)
