Job Summary
Provide comprehensive general veterinary care, including wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. Evaluate patients to develop individualized treatment plans and perform routine medical and surgical procedures. Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care while maintaining accurate medical records. Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians, support staff, and other doctors to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. Participate in continuing education and professional development to support ongoing growth within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice
Desired Qualifications
- DEA registration preferred but not required
- USDA accreditation preferred but not required
- Experience in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, client-centered veterinary care
