SM - Linguist - CAT III - Somali - FMMD

Provide foreign language support services including transcription and translation/interpretation for military interrogations, intelligence collection, and operational missions. Deliver cultural and ethnic context alongside expert linguistic opinions on terms with multiple valid interpretations. Perform document exploitation, scanning, research, and analysis of intercepted data to extract key information, supplementing translations with specific professional field knowledge such as medicine, engineering, or legal matters. Identify and extract components meeting military information requirement list criteria. Must be a US Citizen with at least two years of interpretation/translation experience and ILR Level 3 proficiency in both Somali and English. Requires in-depth geopolitical knowledge and document exploitation skills.
