Job Summary

Establish and manage the product vision, strategy, and goals for the Standard Missile-6 Transition to Production program, aligning with multiple customers and facilitating conflict resolution. Ensure technical integrity across Integrated Product Teams while interfacing with factories, functional organizations, and the US Navy to manage contract deliverables. Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers, lead incremental break-in of upgrades, and drive continuous improvement through Failure Review Boards and FRACAS activities. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for senior customer counterparts and internal leadership, influencing technical capabilities and product roadmaps. Provide technical advisory disposition for Export/Import compliance and manage multi-million-dollar budgets. This role requires an active Secret clearance and is 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with system development and design
  • Experience with requirements development
  • Experience with management
  • Experience with verification
  • Experience with system integration and test
  • Experience with production
  • Experience working on modular systems architectures
  • Experience working on product lines
  • Experience as a technical leader who can develop work plans and drive execution
  • Experience leading engineering teams
  • Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
  • RMD Level 4 Certified Chief Engineer

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leading and executing the design, development, and production of complex system architecture
  • Demonstrated experience across the product lifecycle, including concept development, architecture, design, integration, verification, and production
  • Proven ability to develop effective internal and external customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business
  • Direct experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
