Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a school setting performing duties under a supervising SLP: implement programs, assist with screenings, assessments, and treatment; complete documentation; communicate with patients, families, physicians, and staff; assist in department operations; support development of programs. Requires an Associate’s degree in SLPA or a related bachelor’s with SLPA coursework, at least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience, supervision by a licensed SLP, and OBESPA licensure application and related transcript/hours verification. Full-time position with competitive benefits in McAlester/Ada/Prague/Atoka, OK.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Either an Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field) with SLPA coursework
- Clinical Experience: At least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience under a licensed SLP
- Supervision: Work under direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP
- Licensing: Apply for licensure through the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA), submit transcripts, verification of clinical hours, and pay the fee
