Job Summary
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing therapy services to students with communication disorders in individual, small group, and classroom settings; implement therapy plans targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and social communication goals; prepare and organize instructional materials and therapy activities; record accurate data on student performance and assist in progress reports; maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards; collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents under supervision to ensure consistent support; follow ISBE and IDEA guidelines; participate in supervision meetings, training, and school team meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Must work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
