SLP Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Provide direct speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress accurately and in a timely manner. Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies. Participate in care planning and team meetings as needed. Full-time position with flexible scheduling in a skilled nursing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Arkansas
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of evaluation and treatment techniques for communication and swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with documentation systems (NetHealth experience a plus)
