Job Summary

Conduct thorough evaluations of speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing, then develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and prevent complications like aspiration. Lead targeted sessions focusing on communication recovery, cognitive strategies, expressive/receptive language skills, voice/resonance, and safe eating/swallowing techniques, including compensatory strategies and mealtime training. Monitor progress closely, document outcomes, educate residents, families, and facility staff, and adjust plans to support independence and safety.
