Job Summary
Provide diagnostic assessments and IEP-driven therapy for students with speech-language needs; deliver direct therapy in individual, small group, and classroom settings; address articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression, and social communication; collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development; maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress in compliance with ISBE/IDEA guidelines; participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and provide consultation as needed; educate and support staff and parents on strategies to enhance communication skills; ensures records and documentation meet regulatory requirements; license and credential requirements include IDFPR, ISBE PEL with SLP endorsement, and CCC-SLP preferred; fingerprint clearance is required; contract-based opportunities with potential for extension or permanency; comprehensive benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
