Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) needed for the school year in Hillside, IL. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication needs; developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); delivering direct therapy in individual, small group, and classroom settings; addressing articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression, and social communication; collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams; maintaining accurate records in compliance with ISBE and IDEA guidelines; participating in IEP meetings and student evaluations; providing consultation as needed; educating and supporting staff and parents on communication strategies. Employment is contract-based with options to extend or transition to a permanent position, and benefits include paid time off, holidays, reimbursements, professional development support, and retirement contributions.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
