Job Summary
Evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia-related needs, conducting swallowing evaluations to recommend diet modifications and compensatory strategies. Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on safety, function, and quality of life while collaborating with nursing, dietary, and therapy teams to support resident care plans. Provide education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate. Flexible PRN scheduling available based on facility needs and your availability.
Required Qualifications
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Desired Qualifications
- ASHA CCC-SLP
- Skilled nursing facility experience
- Organized, self-directed, and patient-focused
- Passion for working with the geriatric population
