Job Summary
Evaluate assigned patients through formal and informal diagnostic assessments to determine intervention needs in speech, language, cognition, voice, and dysphagia. Develop and implement treatment plans providing direct therapy services in home settings, using activities tailored to individual physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities. Coordinate therapy with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans while communicating progress to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Monitor clinical internships with affiliated students and demonstrate knowledge of age-specific factors from infants through geriatrics.
Required Qualifications
- CCC-SLP - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or presently active in a supervised clinical fellowship year and certification received within one year of employment Upon Hire
- Speech-Language Pathologist - Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- ~1-3 years Speech Language Pathologist in a hospital, SNF, outpatient and/or home health setting
