Job Summary
Conduct assessments and treatment for residents in a skilled nursing facility in Jasper, AL, while supporting interdisciplinary teams and delivering individualized care plans. Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to ensure communication, swallowing safety, and functional outcomes for older adults. Complete facility onboarding, background screenings, and documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Split time between two sister facilities approximately 10 minutes apart if required. This assignment supports resident-centered care and evidence-based SLP services within a suburban-rural environment near regional parks and dining districts.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) placement eligibility
- Active Alabama state license or eligibility to obtain an active license prior to assignment start
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Ability to complete facility-required background screenings and onboarding
Desired Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment in an SNF population
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and standardized SLP documentation
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring CFY clinicians
