Job Summary
Slovak Linguist position supporting Language Support Services for YSG/TU with responsibilities including interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction. Requires CAT I/II/III proficiency as outlined, English ILR 2+ (CAT I/II) or ILR 3 (CAT III) depending on category, ability to conduct consecutive interpretation, idiomatic translations, and knowledge of cultural contexts. Travel may be required; location is Remote Operations Support or other remote CONUS postings. Eligible for flexible, multi-role opportunities across the portfolio; security clearance per category; ability to work in high-pressure environments and as part of a professional team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified/certified at one of the following categories: CAT I, CAT II, CAT III with ILR level requirements; CAT I/II/III linguists may require security vetting or clearance as per category; experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students; ability to translate and interpret bilingual material accurately; knowledge of local culture and customs; willingness to live/work in harsh environments as mission dictates; ability to function under high pressure; team integration; fluent English and foreign language proficiency; interpret and preserve tone; term-specific vocabulary in English and target language; security clearance levels vary by CAT category.
