Job Summary
Inspect and test assigned equipment, noting defective parts and making recommendations for correction. Perform required adjustments and repairs to electronic and electro-mechanical equipment as assigned, including preventative maintenance on slot machines either on the floor or in the slot shop. Uphold integrity in documentation and gaming regulations while coordinating with management and security to detect cheating or equipment damage. Provide prompt, courteous service during repairs and verify transactions with 100% accuracy. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays; sit, stand, or walk for long periods. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver throughout the property using stairs or escalators. Must obtain a Gaming Occupational License within Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours)
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts
- Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects
- Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio
Desired Qualifications
- Electronics degree or equivalent electronic experience
- Installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems and equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical and electronic/electrical technical equipment
- Proficient in the use of tools of the trade including hand power and machine equipment testing devices and instruments
- Should understand schematic diagrams needed in the repair of slot machines as well as mechanical blue prints
- Knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to slot operations
- Possess an upbeat and positive attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to read/explain the pay table/glass on the different EGDs
- Be able to perform all game recalls
- Be able to troubleshoot and repair common/uncommon problems with EGDs
- Know how to use Word and Excel
- Experience with slot player tracking systems
- Know how to identify all components in the slot machines
