Job Summary
The Slot Technician will install, configure, test, and maintain slot machines and gaming devices, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues, perform preventative maintenance, and replace components to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include responding to malfunctions, coordinating with vendors for advanced troubleshooting, maintaining detailed repair and maintenance logs, and assisting with regulatory approvals and licensing. The role requires knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer-based systems, familiarity with TGRA and NIGC standards, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred experience includes casino/gaming environments and certifications in electronics or IT, with familiarity of slot management systems (IGT, Aristocrat, Scientific Games). The position is located on the gaming floor in Juneau, AK, with non-exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in electronics, mechanical repair, IT support, or gaming operations
- OR a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Tribal gaming licenses and clearances
