Slitting Machine Operator

Job Summary
Set up slitting machines, run production to slit continuous laminated film into specified widths, and perform daily cleaning and maintenance. Manage pre-run testing for coding weights and bond strength, space rotary blades, load material, and regulate machine speed while detecting irregular cutting. Remove finished rolls, wrap rollstock in poly liners, palletize custom orders, and complete production documentation. Report machine maintenance and unsafe conditions, troubleshoot equipment, and load/unload trucks as needed. Meet job standards for line speeds and scrap rates, with flexibility for evening shifts (4:00 pm to 2:00 am) and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in production, slitting and printing setting
- Shift Flexibility
- Ability to read rulers
- Ability to use a micrometer
- Troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
- Team Worker
- Good judgment with decision making in regards to Safety and Quality
- Ability to complete production related documentation on both computer and paper forms
- Ability to take direction from several individuals
- Ability to work additional overtime if required to get the job tasks completed
