Slitter Operator - Nights - Monday - Thursday

Job Summary
Set up and operate slitting machines to cut film to specified widths, lengths, and diameters while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. Install and align shear or razor blades, select spacers and lay-on bars, and adjust settings using tools like rulers and gauges to ensure conformance with specifications. Monitor machine operation, examine rolls for defects, and measure dimensions using tape measures and templates. Start machines, thread feedstock through the slitter and rewinder, and handle damaged material per computer procedures. Work night shifts Monday through Thursday from 6:45 PM to 7 AM with a mandatory shift differential and ability to work scheduled overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to work Night Shift Monday through Thursday 6:45PM to 7AM
- Must be able to work scheduled/mandatory OT
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometers
- Must be computer literate
- Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- one to three years of experience preferred
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to multi task and read production tickets
- Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
